Super Mario Brothers Party :: New Theme

Last weekend we hosted our first Super Mario Brothers birthday party for a little guy turning 5, and 14 or so of his friends. We had a blast designing all the decor pieces and creating a custom Mario Bros Twister game! The kids made Mario paintings on canvas, played the ORIGINAL Mario Brothers on the Nintendo, the New Mario Brothers on the Wii, decorated their own "Mario Karts," played our Twister game, and somehow found some time to dance?!? Fun stuff :) Here are a few pics.

We made glittery gold question boxes and brick boxes. Gold coins, Mario stars, and Mario Star napkin rings!

It was Craftopia as we planned the party! Pipe parts from Home Depot (spray painted green) and large foam balls made great Mario Piranha Plants. I decided to bring the sky down to arm's reach with sky blue tablecloths and cloud place mats. You'll see what the toad stools are for if you scroll down.

Sesame Street Mania!

We've been doing lots of Sesame Street parties for our little toddler clients lately and I've had a ton of fun with the crafts, cupcakes, and activities. So much fun, that I'd like to share some ideas with you. These are simple, yet fun and fab!

For starters, the little ones love crafts.So check out our monster tambourines! Very simple, we've all done plastic plate tambourines. But I like to take things a bit further, to make a perfect fit with the theme at hand.

Get plastic plates in the appropriate color, add beans or rice and staple or hotglue it shut. Hole punch the edges and add jingle bells with party streamer or just add some to the inside.

Add eyes made from either sticky foam or the jumbo plastic store-bought eyes (you'll need glue dots for these). And add a mouth (and nose if needed) made of sticky foam.

Theme possibilities are endless! Do a red, white, and blue motif for an Independence Day parade around the park!

The wait is over! Open Play is now in session, every Monday-Thursday from 9am to 5pm. To celebrate, we'll be having a special FREE weekend open play from 9am-5pm this Saturday, April 11! Mickey will join us at 1:00 for a special egg hunt! Just call or email us to let us know you are coming, and your admission is free!

Come play in our festive event space in Historic Maplewood!

Arts and crafts, play sets, sensory stations, books, blocks, train table, dollhouse, kitchen, grocery store, and more will be available for your preschooler!

Golden Ticket Grand Opening Raffle Winner!

On December 22 we hosted a soldout Golden Ticket Extravaganza for our grand opening in Maplewood. Ticket holders made ribbon wands and crowns with Cinderella (who also read her story and sang beautifully!), chatted with Santa, and danced with Elmo and Dora.
